Wasim Ahmed Reza is a skilled Senior Software Engineer with over 10 years of experience in the information technology and services industry. He is currently working as a Senior Associate, Solutions Engineering at Western Union, where he is responsible for working with the front-end team in sync with the various downstream systems. Wasim is involved in story analysis, breakdown, and pointing, application development, and unit testing. He also helps other team members as and when needed and continuously works on various POCs. Prior to joining Western Union, Wasim worked as a Senior Software Engineer at HCL, where he worked in a scrum team of eight members and a scrum master. He followed the safe agile methodology with a two-week sprint and got requirements from PO, analyzed them, set estimates, and then started development. Wasim ensured all test cases were working fine after development and unit testing and helped testers to test the code. Wasim also worked as a Senior System Engineer at Infosys, where he developed applications with AngularJS as front-end, using JSONs to read data and work on them. He used JAVA as the backend and also used BootStrap and CSS 3 for UI. Wasim analyzed the issues once the requirement was given and was responsible for coding on the line of those requirements after making proper documents (like impact analysis document). He was also responsible for fixing issues if any, that would come up at any point in time. In addition to these, writing JUNITs for angular based codes was also one of the tasks which Wasim handled. He often gave KT to new guys on the angular part of the application and at times, handled calls from onsite people and acted as a moderator. Wasim holds a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) focused in Computer Science from Padmanava College of Engineering.
